Prelude and Hymn 2013 

Commissioned by Mallory Bernstein and Shawn Savageau of the Current Resonance Project, Prelude and Hymn  is a two-movement work for piano and percussion, and a response to the recent gun violence tragedies.

Let Us Break Bread Together  2010

This arrangement for soprano/tenor and piano is of the traditional hymn and spiritual. Recorded by soprano, Tess Altiveros, Alex Gagiu, piano.  

Homeland 2009

Homeland was commissioned by Opera Fairbanks for their gala celebrating 50 years of Alaska’s statehood. It was written for full orchestra, chorus and soloists. The poem was written by Emerson’s brother, Evan Eads. The performance was conducted by maestro Gregory Buchalter. 

Triple Concerto for Two    2009

Commissioned by single reeds professor at University of Alaska Fairbanks, and premiered by him and by fellow faculty member, Lorna Eder. 

Written and dedicated to soprano Tess Altiveros. Sung by soprano Tess Altiveros, Elisabeth Ellis, piano.
